Canada HO! No bitches in the Pacific NW.

Bri Pruett tearing up the room with her comedy and wit at Brody Theater, Portland.

OH Pacific Northwest! How I love you! There are so many places I could call home, and not in that reluctant way that I call New Jersey home. I'm not positive why that state never settled with me. I cling to my New England upbringing tenaciously when I'm 'home' in NJ. On the road though, it's easier to just go with the NJ answer when people as where you came from.

A little friend I found hanging out at The Doubleclicks HQ.

I played a really fun show with my friends That Doubleclicks and comic Bri Pruett to a sold out crowd in Portland. In Bend, I played to a more intimate crowd at a house concert. We stopped at Crux Fermentation, a local brewery in Bend. There was ample dogs, corn hole tournaments, and sunshine. They also had the best IPA I've had in a really long time called "Half Hitch IPA". I bought a bottle to bring home, but I doubt it will make it that far.

Josh Mecouch, the man behind the comic Formal Sweatpants, shoots me with a Tesla coil gun.

In Seattle my first stop was a house concert at The Oatmeal's house. Matt Inman and I have collaborated previously on a little ditty about a naughty pterodactyl. Now we are working on some new material based on his comic My Dog The Paradox. That's right A DOG SONG. Don't tell Dunkin. The party was loads of fun, and afterwards guests lined up to let Matt shoot them with his Tesla gun. It was a real step up from beer pong.

Matt Inman (The Oatmeal) and Josh Mecouch (Formal Sweatpants) and a gravity gun. SWOON!

The next day Matt took us all for a ride in his sweet Tesla ride. I think it's fueled by electrons and wet dreams. Very fast. Very slick. We went down to the locks and saw salmon running. They were clearly trying to beat the blerch! Later that night I played a show with Molly Lewis and Kirby Krackle, a couple of celebrity nerds who joined me on stage at the Wayward Coffeehouse. They are both super entertaining songwriters, and I really enjoyed their sets. Hopefully we can high five again next time they head to the east coast.

And now, it's off to Vancouver. I'm not allowed to bring merch into Canada, so we shed about 75 lbs of t-shirts in Seattle. Oh, how I wish they had lockers at the border!
